It's time for animeHooD to receive the first major update since the release.

We were hoping to release this update last week, but a lot of things came up for both I and Xanstiou and so we couldn't manage.

On that note, we have been working the last couple of weeks, day and night, really hard to fix some game engine flaws and 'attempt' to make your gaming experience much more enjoyable.

GAME CHANGES

Limiter altered (Yay!, wait wut?!) :

As most of you may or may not know the system rewards only the first 30 members that take a batch. We considered that this wasn't a really good approach when it comes to rewarding the users and that this may be an obstacle for the new users which will have to wait for new batches to be added in order to get any reward and compete with the top players in the gold and/or experience ladder.

The staff gathered together and came up with a pretty cool idea to fix this flaw. The new limiter is simple, each batch has a certain amount of gold and experience as it's reward for it being completed, that is set up by us (the staff). Let's say we set a batch up to reward 300 gold and 300 experience. Whenever you take that batch and you get rewarded, that reward will decrease the amount of gold and experience you can be rewarded for that batch, which is 300 gold and 300 experience.

So let's say that on your first try of 'The One Shot Kishimoto' you get a 70%, as such, you are rewarded 200 gold and 200 experience. The batch gives 300 gold and 300 experience, so the next time you take this batch you will only be able earn 100 gold and 100 experience ( 300 ( Total Gold you can earn for 'The One Shot Kishimoto' ) - 200 ( Gold you earned on your first try of 'The One Shot Kishimoto' ) ).

With this game change, we also had to remodel the batch layout located within an anime.

NEW FEATURES

Blank question pop-up advisor ( Yessss I can be distracted again while doing batches! ) :

If you have left a question blank or various questions blank ( maybe due to being distracted and/or not reading the game manual ( shame on you! ) ), you will get a pop-up message asking if you want to proceed with submittion.


Titles ( I shall win the first contest for best profile! ~ Xanstiou ) :

Titles are a bunch of text formed by merging two pieces of text, front title and back title.

The front and back titles are awarded in every batch currently available, the only requirement is to score a 100% on the batch you want the title from. We set the stacks pretty low for now, but do expect more 'challenging' requirements in future batch updates.

Your title formed by the front and the back titles will be displayed in your profile on top of your profile background image which you will find out more about below.

Profile background images ( again, me < all of you ~ Xanstiou ) :

You can now display a background image on your profile ( as I said above ) , up until now you weren't able to change it but now, we allow you to do that by going to the title and background edit page. ( This goes for titles too )

There you'll be able to specify a link to your desired profile background image, position it ( depending on the size of the image ) by dragging the image and moving it around, select your Front and Back title, change the texts color of your title and even the font size, all in real time thanks to the live preview container we provided on the top of the page, Be creative ;) !

LAYOUT CHANGES

News container

You can now share our news posts with your friends, family, and other people on social websites like Twitter and Facebook. This will also help our community increase its activity, we encourage you to use them oftenly.

View Anime Batch Layout

The statistics section is now merged into 2 tabs; the first containing statistics for that batch: General statistics and your statistics, and the second tab containing Gold, Experience, and the titles you've earned from it.

BUG FIXES

Submittion bug

There was a bug in which users were able to submit a batch more than once, due to there internet/browser speed, it has now died, and those users abusing this bug have been 'nerfed'.
If you know of anyone that has abused this, please contact me or Xanstiou.

And finally....

New batches for Naruto, Bleach and Fairy Tail.

Dead no more!

Greetings animeHooD community,

As you might have noticed that the last couple of weeks we have been unable to properly update the game with new content and fix the bugs you reported in the forum. This was due to some internal staff problems that are currently solved now, and our real life, considering the fact that some of us have to take a few exams by now.

Since now we can afford some free time we will be spending it updating animeHooD, and in the next few days we will try to add the features which we started working on before these incidents.

One last thing folks, I reset the batches, all batches will give rewards again. This reward system is changing, expect this change next along with a few new 'neat' features.

We have added new batches for Naruto, One Piece and Fairy Tail. I hope you guys and girls will enjoy them.

Now let's get to the bigger updates. Based on the feedback we received in the forum we decided to change the game's core a bit.

Firstly, I will start by saying that the 24 hour limit on the batches has been decreased to just 6 hours because we decided it's a lot of time just to play that batch again.

Secondly we modified the timers because some of you thought they don't give you enough time on some batches.

So the timers work like this: For difficulty 1 you'll get 1 minute, for difficulty 2 you'll get 2 minutes, for difficulty 3 you'll get 3 minutes and for difficulty 4 and 5 you'll get 4 minutes.

Thirdly, we timed up all the results in order for you to be able to take the batches which have the time limit again.

Fourthly and lastly, we fixed the submittion bug. If this bug continues to occur to you, please go here and post the error you are having.

It has been over 2 years or less since we took down animeHooD, and today we are extemely proud to present to you all the new animeHooD:

animeHooD is an online trivia game in which you compete with other members of the community to try and answer as much questions as possible to become numero uno on animeHooD!

What are batches? Batches are what contain the questions within the animes, these are like chapters in anime / manga terms. Batches are strickly related to the anime they are in. For a more detailed explanation visit the game manual!

animeHooD features:

4 animes, these are:

Naruto
With 3 batches and 38 questions available to answer!

Bleach
With 3 batches and 57 questions available to answer!

One Piece
With 3 batches and 60 questions available to answer!

Fairy Tail
With 3 batches and 61 questions available to answer!

Daily these animes will receive new batches, and if we get writers for new animes such animes will be featured on animeHooD, so look forward to that!

2 modes in which you can answer batches;

Ranked mode: You will earn rewards, get timed, and will be able to compete with other members depending on your results. This mode requires javascript.

Non-ranked mode: You wont gain rewards, you wont be timed, but you will gain practice and knowledge about that batch for when you actually attempt the same batch but in ranked mode. This mode does not require javascript.

Rewards; Earn gold and experience points, gold we will later add things to waste it on but currently the system will rank you depending on your gold, and experience points.

Two rank ladders; The top money makers, and the highly experienced ones, which one will you dominate?

A forum; We have developed a forum platform from scratch just to provide you and the community a place to discuss things in.

and much more to come.

We plan to further develop this game (and the project itself), add in a shop, items, inventory, events, more modes to play batches in, and other things I will keep quiet about until the time is right. For now this is what we provide to you in this alpha version. I want to make something clear, we will not give you all of these features for alpha, however some of them we do plan on adding in for alpha. Alpha is really meant for us to test the game itself. Please bare with us, because this time animeHooD will not go down again.

If you encounter any bugs or glitches report them here or to one of the xats staff member, and we will take care of them as soon as possible.
